Ann-Cathrin has worked in Intellectual Property for more than 30 years. As well as being an experienced IP practitioner, she has extensive experience as an in-house lawyer, IP consultant and legal counsel at NIPO (Norwegian Patent Office).
She brings invaluable, client-side industry experience to Onsagers, having worked in-house as head of IP department in Nycomed Amersham for 7 years and as head of IP department in Telenor for 4 years. She therefore understands IP from a business perspective and has extensive knowledge in handling IP portfolios, agreements regarding IP and licensing of technology, IP Due Diligence, innovation capture and IP strategy. Ann-Cathrin has worked as Head of Legal department at Onsagers for 17 years and assisted clients with legal matters relating to IP, tech law and licensing and is now head of Business Development.
Ann-Cathrin specializes in the protection and management of IP rights, and advises in a range of subject matters, including general and strategic IP management, Tech law and licensing, infringement, litigation and dispute resolution. Ann-Cathrin also has strong knowledge in drafting licensing, co-existence and R&D agreements and has considerable experience from due diligence proceedings. She has additional education from University of Cambridge in sustainability.
