Lars-Fredrik is European Patent Attorney working in Intellectual Property for more than 20 years. His predominant interest has always been in helping clients to create economic value from the strategic development and management of IP. He works with large and medium-sized companies, particularly those with international operations. He has also advised entrepreneurs and start-ups on strategies to secure IP-driven financial backing and competitive advantage.

In addition to working directly for clients, Lars-Fredrik regularly devotes time to improve the education of IP students and the IP knowledge of client-side business managers. He is frequently used as a guest lecturer at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and is a familiar face on the IP conference speaking circuit.

Key Experience

Throughout his career, Lars-Fredrik’s key focus has been on patents, including: patent validity, infringement and enforcement analysis; patent risk evaluation and enforcement strategy; patent application, prosecution, appeals and oppositions; strategic patent and portfolio management.

He has served as expert witness and expert judge in District Courts, as well as Courts of Appeal in Norway, and as an expert witness in the US.

All of this experience, plus his early career as a Patent Examiner at The Norwegian Industrial Property Office (NIPO), has earned him a strong reputation as a trusted and valued Patent Attorney.
