Ann-Cathrin has worked in Intellectual Property for more than 25 years. As well as being an experienced IP practitioner, she has extensive experience as an in-house lawyer, IP consultant and legal counsel at NIPO (Norwegian Patent Office).

She brings invaluable, client-side industry experience to Onsagers, having worked in-house as head of IP department in an international pharmaceutical corporation for 7 years and as head of IP department in a telecommunication company for 4 years. She therefore understands IP from a business perspective, and has extensive knowledge in handling IP portfolios.

Ann-Cathrin is currently listed in the World Trademark Review as a leading trademark professional in Norway.

Key Experience

Ann-Cathrin specializes in the protection and management of IP rights, and advises in a range of subject matters, including general and strategic trademark counseling, developing and implementing trademark protection strategies, infringement issues, litigation and dispute resolution. Ann-Cathrin also has strong knowledge in drafting licensing, co-existence and R&D agreements and has considerable experience from due diligence proceedings.

Ann-Cathrin has worked on the education of business managers in IP awareness as well as IP strategy and related topics. She is a regular guest lecturer and conference speaker.
