Thor is a patent engineer and assists innovators in protecting their inventions with patents. He has experience in intellectual property law dating back to 1989 with a 15-year break in programming database systems and financial systems. He has also developed an office support system for patent agencies and lawyers.
From university he has a solid foundation in process chemistry, and over the years has expanded this to include, for example, technology within the aquaculture industry, agriculture, offshore, mechanics in general and IT-related inventions.
He has also been doing a lot of translation of technical literature.
Thor Sæther was employed by Onsagers in 2024 after Curo and Onsagers merged.
